Michael L. Hines, CFP®

Mike Hines, CFP®, is President and founder of Consolidated Planning Corporation, which began operations in 1975. Consolidated Planning Corporation is an Atlanta-based registered investment advisory firm specializing in financial planning and wealth management for successful individuals, families and business owners.

Mike was awarded the Manager of the Year Award in 2008 by OnWallStreet magazine. In 2009, Registered Rep magazine named him one of the top 100 independent financial advisors in the country.

In 2010, Mike was named by Barron’s as one of the top financial advisors in the country and he has been listed for multiple years as a Five Star Wealth Manager by Atlanta Magazine.

Mike is also on the Raymond James Financial Services Chairman's Council of leading independent financial advisors nationwide.  In addition, he is a member of the Financial Planning Association, a Certified Financial Planner™ and a Registered Principal with Raymond James Financial Services.  Mike also holds FINRA Series 4, 7, 24, 53, 63 and Georgia Real Estate licenses.  

Mike is an active public speaker, having addressed numerous professional and social organizations, concerning the need for coordinated financial planning.  He is also a regular speaker to corporate executives for many of America's largest companies.  He has been featured in several publications, including Kiplinger’s, SmartMoney, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Hemispheres magazine, and Smart Business magazine.

Mike and his wife DeLana have three children and seven grandchildren that keep them very busy.  In his free time, Mike enjoys golf, photography and spending time at his vacation home in North Carolina.

Casey Allison

 

As an Investment Analyst for Consolidated Planning, Casey Allison exhibits an outstanding analytical ability and a comprehensive understanding of how financial markets and the global economy work. He is that rare breed: an independent thinker and problem-solver that also thrives in a team environment. Casey also strives to satisfy client needs through his exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.

 

Casey began his career as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley before moving on to Merrill Lynch as Investment Consultant and Assistant Vice President. His ability to identify his clients’ investment objectives and then match them to the right products and services was exemplary.

 

Casey earned a Bachelor of Science from Georgia State University and is a recipient of the coveted Merrill Lynch Bull Award for going above and beyond. He lives with his wife in Roswell and when he’s not analyzing information at work you’ll find him practicing his golf game or cheering on his beloved Braves at Turner Field.

Kimberly E. Baker

 

Kim Baker joined our Client Services team in 2007 and offers her experience to assist clients in opening and maintaining their investment accounts.  CPC Advisors is known for providing a consistently high level of responsive service to clients and you’ll find Kim to be a valuable asset in the day-to-day servicing of your accounts. She has a solid understanding that each client is an individual and that every situation is unique when it comes to organizing the firm’s resources around their particular vision.

 

Prior to joining our firm, Kim worked for Raymond James Financial Services in St. Petersburg, Florida as a Branch Service Advisor, Senior Portfolio Account Administrator and a Pricing Specialist. She assisted Financial Advisors in pricing securities, cost-basis analysis, valuing client accounts, placing trades and measuring account performance.

 

Kim is a Cum Laude graduate of the University of South Florida, School of Business Administration where she earned her B.S. in Economics. She holds Series 7 & 63 securities licenses and is equally qualified in all forms of dance. Kim also enjoys baseball, college football, working out with her personal trainer and going to live music concerts.

Jacqueline C. Berkelhamer, MBA, CFP®
 

Jackie is a Financial Planner with Consolidated Planning Corporation and a Certified Financial Planner professional.  Jackie’s expertise includes estate planning, retirement planning, and taxes.  Among her many responsibilities, she primarily focuses on designing, integrating and implementing the Company’s comprehensive financial planning process.

 Prior to entering the financial planning profession in 1994, Jackie worked in the healthcare industry.  She was the Executive Director of the national PPO trade association.  Jackie is member of the Financial Planning Association.

 Jackie graduated from the University of Michigan with a BAEd.  She received her MBA from the University of Illinois, graduating with honors.  Jackie and her husband moved to Atlanta in 1999 and live in Buckhead.  They have three adult children and two grandchildren.

 Jackie was a founding member of Gilda’s Club, Metro Detroit, a cancer support community.  She was a mentor in the Atlanta Public Schools, volunteers for Hands on Atlanta, and is a neighborhood representative on the committee for Voter Registration.  Jackie is on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Women’s Network, where she chairs the mentoring committee.  In her spare time, Jackie plays tennis on the Chastain Women’s Business ALTA team, is an avid reader and belongs to a Book Club.

Robert D. Bordett, CDFATM, CFP®

Robert D. Bordett is Senior Vice President of Consolidated Planning Corporation.  He is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, and a registered mediator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.  He specializes in mediation, collaborative divorce, divorce planning, and financial planning.  Committed to positive outcomes for divorcing families, Bob has spent more than 20 years providing financial expertise in collaborative practice and mediated divorce proceedings.

Bob is current president of the Collaborative Law Institute of Georgia, and currently serves on the board of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.  He is past president of the Georgia Society of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, served as a National Committee member for the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, and is a founding member of the Family Mediation Association of Georgia.  Additionally, Bob is a current member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, the National Association of Tax Practitioners, the Financial Planning Association, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.

Bob has spoken to various groups including the Quantum Institute, Family Mediation Association of Georgia, Georgia Trail Lawyers, Women's Resource Center, Atlanta, Divorce Mediators, State Bar of Georgia Mid Year Conference, Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys Georgia Chapter, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals annual forum.

Bob has written numerous articles on financial planning that have been published by The Atlanta Journal Constitution, Journal of Financial Planning, Georgia Family Mediation News, and Fidelity 401K magazine.  He has also appeared on CNN Sunday News.
 
 

 
  

Blake Flood, MBA, CFP® 

Blake Flood joined CPC in 1998 and serves as Senior Vice President of Consolidated Planning Corporation.  His responsibilities include securities analysis and selection, as well as portfolio construction and monitoring.  In addition, Blake performs due diligence and monitoring on independent money managers with whom Consolidated Planning Corporation has relationships.

In addition to his portfolio management responsibilities, Blake manages our pension and profit sharing consulting practice.  Blake is involved in helping Consolidated Planning Corporation's clients evaluate the structure and performance of their 401(k) plans, profit sharing plans, and deferred compensation plans.  Blake also specializes in designing and implementing retirement plans for businesses.

Prior to joining Consolidated Planning Corporation, Blake was affiliated with Waddell and Reed Financial Services in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he served as District Manager.  During his four year tenure Blake advised his firm's clients and assisted them in making personal investment decisions.  He was also involved in training new Financial Advisers in investment and financial planning concepts.

Blake is a Certified Financial Planner™ certificant and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan as well as a Masters in Business Administration from Georgia State University.

Adele Gipson, CFA, CFP®, CPA

 
A highly qualified and experienced Financial Planner, Adele Gipson brings with her 20 years of experience and a strong philosophy of putting the client first. Vastly experienced in planning, taxes and investment management, Adele specializes in seeing the big picture and is an adept communicator. She also brings a commitment of professional excellence, having attained some of the most respected designations in the profession.  Adele is a Chartered Financial Analyst™ holder, a Certified Financial Planner™ certificant and a Certified Public Accountant. 
 
Adele began her career as a tax and audit associate with PriceWaterHouseCoopers, LLC. She then joined BellSouth Corporation gaining over 15 years of valuable experience in a diverse spectrum of capacities.  Adele generated significant tax savings as a BellSouth tax advisor, oversaw their financial business and planning process and managed $5B of international equity investments for their pension plans. She joined CPC Advisors in 2008.
 
Adele is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Christian Brothers College where she earned a degree in Business Administration and led their basketball team as a point guard.  When she’s not providing comprehensive financial services for her clients, you’ll find her traveling in places like Italy or New Zealand, playing tennis or riding her motorcycle in the north Georgia Mountains.
 
 
 
 
 

Sheila Hines, RP

As Manager of Client Services, Sheila is responsible for coordinating all client service needs for the office.  She takes pride in creating an environment that is welcoming and comfortable for our clients.  Sheila has also earned a Registered Paraplanner designation from the College for Financial Planning, expanding her knowledge of the financial services industry.  Her administrative duties include opening client accounts, transferring funds, making distributions to clients, and solving service problems with client accounts.  She holds a Series 7 securities license.

Sheila joined CPC in February of 1999.  Formerly with Wachovia Operations Corporation for five years, Sheila served as a senior administrative specialist.
 
Sheila, a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, enjoys baking, fitness, and listening to her husband’s music.  Sheila and her husband Mike have two daughters, Ashley and Melissa.

Sabrina M. LaFleur, CFP®

As Coordinator to Financial Planners, Sabrina LaFleur sees to it that all necessary and relevant items are implemented and completed in order to help ensure that our clients are on track to reach their goals and objectives.  Known for her determination and passion, Sabrina is also highly organized.  She is responsible for coordinating all aspects of financial planning engagements and takes pride in facilitating that every task is completed successfully and on time.

Before joining CPC Advisors, Sabrina gained valuable experience at H&R Block, Bank of America, Washington Mutual Bank and WAMU Investments, Inc.  A graduate of Spelman College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Sabrina has also completed Oglethorpe University's Professional Financial Planner Program. When she's not addressing client needs in the office, you'll find her performing in Junkanoo, the cultural festival in the Bahamas, or dancing any style from salsa to ballroom.

Mike McCool, CFP®
As a Certified Financial Planner™, Mike McCool delivers to his clients the same investment management and comprehensive financial planning expertise that has made our firm successful for over thirty years. Mike’s distinctive approach to wealth creation and management is based on identifying and understanding the unique goals of his clients and then providing the strategies for meeting them.
 
Mike began his career as a sales and marketing professional for Proctor & Gamble and Binney & Smith. He joined Smith Barney as a Financial Advisor and spent six years advising clients on wealth and investment management – with a focus on retirement planning.  He achieved his Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2005.
 
Mike earned his B.A. in Economics at Columbia University, where he was also captain of the swim team. When he’s not looking after his clients, you’ll find Mike playing tennis, competing in Master’s Swimming or coaching one of his daughter’s sports teams.
 
 

  

Betsy Shimek Silber

Betsy is Vice President of Operations. She joined Consolidated Planning Corporation in 1994 as investment coordinator and life insurance specialist.  In addition to handling day to day office operations, Betsy also oversees compliance-related functions, securities trading and mutual fund coordination, and CPC's life insurance practice.  Betsy holds Series 7, 24, and 63 securities and advisory licenses. 

Before joining CPC, Betsy worked as a registered representative with First Investors.  Prior to entering the financial planning industry, she was an engineer with the Georgia Power Company for eight years.  Betsy has a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from Georgia Tech.

She is an active community volunteer with such organizations as the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Boys and Girls Clubs, and the United Way of Metro Atlanta.  She and her husband, Jonathan, live in Sandy Springs.

 Nancy Cowgill

As Receptionist, Nancy Cowgill has been both greeting and helping our clients since 1996. As director of “First Impressions,” Nancy’s role is to make every client and visitor feel at home – whether you are calling in by phone or visiting the office in person. She is a highly-organized individual with an outgoing personality that makes her the ideal person for the job.

In addition to her busy receptionist duties, Nancy also finds time to get involved with administration assistance in the form of training, inputting data, helping out with the newsletter and numerous other tasks.
 
Before joining CPC Advisors, Nancy honed her considerable receptionist skills in the medical, legal and savings & loan fields.
 
Outside the office, Nancy enjoys spending time with her granddaughter and exploring the great outdoors. Boating, fishing, bike riding and hiking with her extended family are just some of her favorite activities.
