We have joined the 2021 Global Investor Statement to Governmentson the Climate Crisis, calling on governments to implement meaningful policiesto support investment in solutions to the climate crisis. It lays out afive-point plan designed to reduce global net carbon dioxide emissions by 45percent from 2010 levels by 2030, a key step to reaching net-zero emissions by2050 or sooner.
The statement has beensigned by 587 investors representing over $46 trillion in assets andcollectively represent 40 percent of the world's assets under management.Released ahead of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow inNovember 2021 (COP26), the statement seeks to enhance investor voices toencourage governments to develop the essential policy framework for investorsto manage climate risk.
